Great stuff this week!

It’s ‘eTown On the Road’ again! Nick and I and the eTown crew head to Jacksonville, Oregon to record our show at the Britt Festival Music Series there. We do the whole eTown thing right there on their impressively huge stage, out in the midst of the most beautiful forest I’ve seen in a while.
Our visiting musical guests for this rebroadcast include Railroad Earth and The Travelin’ McCourys. Railroad Earth, for those of you not familiar, is a band that is a perfect example of the progressive jam-band genre. Been around for awhile and have a noticeable cult following these days.
Our longtime dear friends The Travelin’ McCourys just play damn good bluegrass. We love these guys; they’re some of our favorite people on the planet. The band consists of bluegrass icon Del McCoury’s very gifted sons, Rob on banjo and Ronnie on mandolin, plus Alan Bartram on bass and Jason Carter on fiddle. Man, the combo is incredible.
We’ve got a great E-Chievement Award winner too, with a local story that’s pretty cool and full of common sense (you’ll learn an easy way to feed tons of hungry folks with surprisingly little impact on your personal finances).
In other news: If you missed Nick playing an evening duet concert with our friend and musician extraordinaire Danny Barnes, it was KILLER. Those two together are just amazing. That show (the first of the ‘eTown Presents’ full concert series) has come and gone; but don’t despair . . They’re playing a series of gigs in Texas at the end of November (San Antonio, Austin, Denton, Houston and Austin). Check Danny’s website for the day/time/place on those, and if you can, catch them there.
Meanwhile, there are videos below from this week’s show. Watch a few to get in the mood, then tune in or podcast away!
