Musician and songwriter Nick Forster is the host and co-producer of etown. During his 12 years with the Grammy-nominated, award winning bluegrass band, Hot Rize, Nick performed for audiences worldwide. He has been on countless radio and television programs, with numerous appearances on A Prairie Home Companion and Austin City Limits. Helen Forster (full bio)
As the co-host of etown, actress/vocalist Helen Forster lends her golden-toned voice to both the spoken word and the musical portions of the show. She's provided harmony vocals for guests like Beth Orton, Bruce Cockburn, Keb'Mo' and Mavis Staples to name a few. In addition to Helen's role on etown, her 30 years as a veteran of stage, film, and voice performance include a stint in two formal theater companies and as a member of SRO Theater Troupe, an improv group. She has also appeared on A Prairie Home Companion and in concert around the country.
