Eliza Gilkyson
Eliza Gilkyson is a third generation musician, the daughter of successful songwriter Terry Gilkyson. Eliza “got into it for all the wrong reasons, more as a survival tool that anything else, but it proved to serve me more than I dared imagine.” In 2003, Eliza was inducted into the Austin Music Hall of Fame. “Land of Milk and Honey,” her sociopolitically-themed release of 2004 won a grammy nomination and ended up on many Top Ten lists. Her latest, the live album “Your Town Tonight,” has generated the praise customary for a Gilkyson recording or performance…Boston Globe salutes the artist’s “Masterfully structured, startlingly intimate songs in a beautifully lived in voice.”
