Sharing the stage with The Subdudes are Jeff Austin of Yonder Mountain String Band and Chris Castino of the Big Wu. The duo first met four years ago in 2000 at the annual Family Reunion events held by the Big Wu. The two musicians hit it off, and joined forces to record their debut album, Songs from the Tin Shed (2004 Frog Pad Records). etown’s own Nick Forster plays on the majority of the album and other featured guests include members of Leftover Salmon and Yonder Mountain String Band. Grasping a strong hold on the sound of Americana music, this talented duo creates a raw, roots blend of folk, country, and bluegrass with a distinctive contemporary edge.
