MASON JENNINGS, hailed as “a songwriter to watch” by The New York Times, is making his e-town debut. After learning the guitar and writing his first songs at age 13, Jennings decided to dedicate his life to a career in music and soon after dropped out of school and moved to Minneapolis to focus on his dream full-time. At age 19 he released his self-produced debut, Mason Jennings, which received significant local attention and airplay. After his second album, Birds Flying Away was released, bassist Robert Skoro and Brazilian jazz musician and percussionist Edgar Oliveira began gigging with Jennings to form the Mason Jennings Band. Jennings’ latest album, Century Spring (Architect, 2002) offers listeners a more mature mix of his
remarkable songwriting skills and unique vocals with lyrics highlighting love and friendship
