Piers Faccini, the Paris based singer/songwriter has released a debut album called ‘Tearing Sky,’ with sounds culled from classic English folk music, the blues of the Mississippi Delta and the rhythms of North Africa. Faccini’s tone is soft and hypnotic, conjuring the cult figure Nick Drake as well as Malian bluesman Ali Farka Toure. Rolling Stone France calls the album ‘a masterpiece of urban folk blues.’
