Sarah Jarosz

Artist's Website

Sarah Jarosz, one of the most talked about young singers and musicians today, comes from the small but very musical town of Wimberley, Texas. She has had a great reputation among bluegrass fans for years, starting in her early teens when she played mandolin on stage with people like David Grisman and Ricky Skaggs. With her latest release, Follow Me Down, Sarah proves that she’s a talented songwriter and an adventurous musician who’s willing to use tradition as a starting place, not a destination. The New York Times spoke about Sarah as “widely regarded as one of acoustic music’s most promising young talents: a singer-songwriter and mandolin and banjo prodigy with the taste and poise to strike that rare balance of commercial and critical success.”
