In just two short years, The Dunwells have managed to transport their music from the pubs, clubs and open mic nights of Leeds, England to the hearts and minds of listeners in the United States. From the first time The Dunwells hit American shores at the 2011 International Folk Alliance conference, their impact has been nothing short of astounding. The five-piece group, comprised of a combination of brothers, cousins and friends, seamlessly melds elements of Celtic and American folk, rock, blues, pop and soul into a trademark sound all their own. The band’s debut album, Blind Sighted Faith, was recorded at Willie Nelson’s famed Pedernales Studio outside of Austin, and has already catapulted the group onto to the stage with such artists as Bob Dylan, Van Morrison and Mumford and Sons.
