With just a few short years under its hood as a band, The Infamous Stringdusters have already traveled a great distance from their beginnings in Nashville, Tennessee. The band received multiple accolades at the 2007 International Bluegrass Music Association Awards, including Emerging Artists of the Year, Album of the Year and Song of the Year. In addition, the band’s song, “Magic #9,” was nominated for a Grammy in the Best Country Instrumental category just last year. Through it all, the band’s ‘do-it-yourself’ approach has led to the creation of its own record label, a successful music festival and a dedicated fan base that’s willing to help raise money for a new album, assist the group in reinventing the concert experience that will follow and supporting environmental groups along the way.
