Barenaked Ladies & The Ditty Bops

Live Show: Thursday, Sep 21, 2006   7:30pm
Location: The Paramount Theatre, Denver

This week it's etown 'on the road' as we welcome back Canada's own Barenaked Ladies to the etown stage in this exciting encore airing. Wild and warm, engaging and energetic, Barenaked Ladies rattles the roof of Denver's beautiful, historic Paramount Theatre, sharing a sampling of new and old songs from their uniquely eclectic repertoire. Joining them are the quirky duo The Ditty Bops, who contribute their own special blend of folk, pop, western swing, and early vocal jazz; their set features tightly woven harmonies with a pinch of performance art thrown in for good measure. Meet up with hosts Nick & Helen Forster in etown this week, where there's a fantastic and moving e-chievement award story, along with some outstanding music, just for you!

Barenaked Ladies
Toronto's Barenaked Ladies, founded in 1988 by singer-guitarists Steven Page and Ed Robertson, have sold over fourteen million records worldwide on the heels of hits like "One Week," "Pinch Me" and "Brian Wilson." Along the way, they have developed a dedicated following, and a reputation as one of North America's best-loved live acts.

The Ditty Bops
Purveying an utterly charming sound that borrows from folk, pop, Western swing, and early vocal jazz, Los Angeles' fancifully named Ditty Bops feature the tightly woven harmonies of Amanda Barrett (who also handles mandolin and dulcimer duties) and Abby DeWald (who also plays guitar).
