We’re looking for true everyday heroes: folks who are quietly working behind the scenes, helping to make their communities a better place. Perhaps it’s someone in your own hometown, or it could be a person you’ve heard of or read about, whose efforts inspire you. Whatever the case, take a moment and send in a nomination form.
BUT FIRST, BE SURE TO CHECK OUR CRITERIA, READ “HERE’S WHAT TO DO” AND CHECK OUT SOME EXAMPLES OF PAST WINNERS TO GET AN IDEA OF WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR.
Nominees must be the following:
- An individual or group of individuals who have founded an organization, event or concept. The nominee MUST be the founder or instigator. We do not currently accept nominations for program coordinators, executive directors or staff.
- An individual or group of individuals who have accomplished measurable, tangible results through their efforts.
IMPORTANT NOTE: We do NOT accept nominations for an organization or event itself; HOWEVER, you can nominate the person(s) who started/founded an organization or event that you admire.
Here’s What To Do:
Please provide their name and a phone number where they can be reached, as well as a concise synopsis in the “comments” box of why you think your nominee should be recognized with a brief description of their work including specific, measurable, tangible results they’ve accomplished through their personal efforts. If your nomination is chosen to be featured on a show, you not only get recognized on the air, you also receive a special gift from eTown!
EXAMPLE: If it’s a person who has successfully organized a river clean-up, when did it occur, how many miles of shoreline were cleaned up and/or how many pounds/tons of debris were removed? If it’s someone who started a program to feed the hungry, how many people have been helped and/or how many meals have been served to those in need?
To nominate someone, please fill out the nomination form below. If you have questions, call Stephanie Ladroga at 303-443-8696 Ext. 108 or email her at email@example.com.
Since 1991, eTown has presented hundreds of E-Chievement Awards with documented, positive results.
