Ed Gross & Harve Timeus

Ed Gross and Harve Timeus worked in separate departments in Portland’s Forest Service, and became friends  years ago while working as employees for the Forest Service. After retiring, the two men decided to work together to end a problem that has long plagued public lands, illegal dumping. They formed “Trash Dogs”, a small, plucky group of volunteers who comb the Rogue River-Siskiyou National Forest and remove trash, sofas, vehicles and countless other items that pollute the landscape and threaten area waterways and groundwater. At the time the show originally aired, the Trash Dogs had cleaned up over 450 dump sites and removed over 375 tons of trash!
