Nickel Creek & Mike Marshall and Chris Thile in Fort Collins
Air dates: Mar 08-Mar 14, 2006 Tape location:Lincoln Center Performance Hall, Ft. Collins, CO
The dynamic trio, Nickel Creek, return to etown for this special re-broadcast recorded at the Lincoln Center in Fort Collins, CO. With a style and sound all their own, Sara and Sean Watkins and Chris Thile perform their own contemporary songs deeply rooted in bluegrass tradition. Also, mandolin virtuosos Chris Thile & Mike Marshall strut their string stuff in a duo performance. The chemistry expands when host Nick Forster joins them on some tunes. There's a compelling 'in-person' e-chievement award winner, too, and a great collaborative finale featuring our guests, Helen, Nick, and Ron Jolly from the etones to fill out an hour of great radio, right here in etown.
