This week it’s ‘String-time in the Rockies’ for this encore etown airing! Grammy-nominee Darol Anger brings together a new generation of string players and leads through a vast range of material that encompasses bluegrass, pop, R&B, jazz, Brazilian, African, Middle Eastern, and Scandinavian influences. Hosts Nick & Helen Forster also welcome Darrell Scott, an A-list multi-instrumentalist and one of Nashville’s best songwriters, who is joined by his friend and ex-band member (they played together in The Sam Bush Band) John Cowan. Cowan is best known as the voice that electrified millions as the centerpiece of the New Grass Revival. Darrell and John are joined musically by Nick and Helen as well. Plus, author/activist and alternative energy advocate Harvey Wasserman fills us in on the practicality of wind and solar energy and the importance of shifting in that direction to meet the nation’s energy and security needs.
