eTown hosts Nick and Helen Forster welcome two newcomers to the eTown stage, for the second live radio show taping of the year.

Confessional folk-pop singer/songwriter Joshua Radin got his break in music when a homemade demo recording landed in the hands of a well-known TV producer who ended up using it to score a scene from the popular TV series Scrubs in early 2004. Since then, Radin has enjoyed a rise to success in the states and abroad, with three releases now under his belt, songs heard in movies and television shows such as Grey’s Anatomy, 90210, Parenthood and One Tree Hill, and sold-out shows in the United States, Canada and the UK.

Joining Joshua Radin this evening is Canadian Old Soul duo Sarah & Christian Dugas. While Winnipeg, Canada is a long way from the origins of their southern-stewed blend of Soul, Rock and Roots music, you wouldn’t know it by listening. This brother-sister duo grew up on “a regimen of vinyl records” courtesy of their musical parents, and have since shared the stage with well-respected peers including Los Lobos, The Dirty Dozen Brass Band, The Wood Brothers and Arrested Development to name a few. Also known for their work with the Grammy nominated roots group, The Duhks, these two wunderkinds  have already enjoyed fruitful careers as international touring musicians and session artists, and don’t appear to be slowing down anytime soon.

Expect lots of great music from both visiting artists, as well as conversation and insightful interviews and an inspiring E-Chievement Award story – all in one evening!
