Listen eTown takes to the road for a taping of the show at Colorado College’s Armstrong Hall in Colorado Springs. Joining us for this repeat broadcast are two of our favorite eTown guests, Flobots and Nada Surf’s front man, Matthew Caws. Flobots are a progressive hip-hop collective from Denver, described by the Boston Herald as “rap music’s most singular breakthrough act in years.” Singer and guitarist Matthew Caws brings us his solo versions of Nada Surf’s poppy, thinking-person’s indie-rock songs. The LA Times calls him “the decade’s foremost purveyor of power pop.” Nick & Helen Forster and the eTones back him up instrumentally and vocally, in fine style. This week you’ll find great music in eTown, the story of a dedicated E-Chievement Award winner and seriously good conversation, too.
