eTown is a nonprofit, nationally syndicated radio broadcast, multimedia and events production company. Our mission is to educate, entertain and inspire a diverse audience through music and conversation in order to create a socially responsible and environmentally sustainable world.
Winners are nominated by our listeners and interviewed on-air about their extraordinary community work. Stories range from feeding the hungry to cleaning up the environment to housing the homeless.
As eTown’s host, Nick nimbly walks the line between musician & radio journalist, playing an array of instruments with world-class musicians then switching gears to engage those artists in conversation live on stage. As co-host, Helen lends her golden-toned voice to both the spoken word & musical portions of the show.
It’s a very professional place to make some tunes.

The chance to share the Extra Life story... I am so grateful for this experience and for the added opportunity to reach this audience.

I recently discovered eTown and I’m totally floored at the quality and diverse styles of music. I am loving styles of music I didn’t know I liked! Thanks for that and for the wonderful interviews with the musicians.
Listener Joe Garcia, San Antonio, TX
We received multiple donations and heard from tons of people outside of Colorado specifically interested in starting a community kitchen in their areas because they heard us on eTown. This is great for us!
Award winners Libby & Brad Birky, SAME Café, Denver, CO
