eTown is a nonprofit, nationally syndicated radio broadcast, multimedia and events production company. Our mission is to educate, entertain and inspire a diverse audience through music and conversation in order to create a socially responsible and environmentally sustainable world.
Winners are nominated by our listeners and interviewed on-air about their extraordinary community work. Stories range from feeding the hungry to cleaning up the environment to housing the homeless.
As eTown’s host, Nick nimbly walks the line between musician & radio journalist, playing an array of instruments with world-class musicians then switching gears to engage those artists in conversation live on stage. As co-host, Helen lends her golden-toned voice to both the spoken word & musical portions of the show.

Laura Marling (Musician)
eTown is important. It helps people; bringing attention to things that are important to us, our lives and our culture. I think when you can give a pat on the back to somebody, it just makes the world a better place.
Mary Chapin Carpenter (Musician)

eChievement Award Winner Sharon Black, Kau Kau Wagon, Aiea, HI
It just feels good. Their whole approach and message about the environment. It's all the stuff I believe in, and we work together effortlessly.
Charlie Musselwhite (Musician)
What I've always admired about the show is its focus on activism, and the eChievement award that recognizes people who are trying to make this a more sane and endurable world.
Natalie Merchant (Musician)
