In anticipation of the Sundance Film Festival coming to Boulder, Colorado, starting in 2027, we invite community members to Everything You Always Wanted to Know About the Sundance Film Festival, a free event on Thursday, July 24 at eTown Hall in downtown Boulder, featuring Sundance Institute staff and Festival artists, co-presented with eTown.
Highlights include a conversation with Sean Wang (writer-director of Dìdi (弟弟), premiered at the 2024 Sundance Film Festival), and Pete Nicks (director of The Force, premiered at the 2017 Sundance Film Festival and producer on Stephen Curry: Underrated, premiered at the 2023 Sundance Film Festival; Sundance Institute Trustee) moderated by Eugene Hernandez (director of the Sundance Film Festival and Public Programming) and presentations about the Festival experience and its history by John Nein (senior programmer and director of strategic initiatives) and Heidi Zwicker (senior programmer). We invite attendees to stay after the program for an opportunity to meet Sundance Institute staff members who work on the Festival.
This is the first in a series of talks, screenings, and gatherings to be presented in Boulder and the surrounding region in the lead up to the 2027 Sundance Film Festival. To hear more about future events in Colorado and receive updates about the Festival, please join the mailing list at sundance.org/boulder.
Free tickets are available here. Admission to the event is on a first-come, first-served basis; tickets do not guarantee entry. Limit of two (2) tickets per person.
