Celebrating 34 years of music, ideas, & community on the radio
Kate Bollinger, Matt Pond PA and interview guest Roger Briggs

This week, we revisit a wonderful eTown show featuring musical guest Kate Bollinger, a breathy singer whose music is charming and captivating. Also featured this week is Matt Pond PA, comprised of Matt Pond and Chris Hansen, whose music is both poetic and heartfelt. And, Nick has a chat with Roger Briggs about his book, Emerging World: The Evolution of Consciousness and the Future of Humanity, and the need for positive messaging.

Kate Bollinger shares music from her debut album Songs From A Thousand Frames Of Mind, a collection with a cinematic pull shaped by years of writing across Virginia and California and finished with close collaborators in upstate New York. The songs move with an easy grace, shifting from tender to dreamlike.

We’re also joined by Matt Pond PA, the long-running project led by Matt Pond and shaped by his trusted partners like great musicians Chris Hansen and Hilary James. Across 13 albums, Matt Pond has woven the natural world, creating songs that feel both familiar and sharply drawn.

This week’s interview features Colorado climber, educator and writer Roger Briggs, whose work links outdoor stewardship, community building and a vision for a more conscious, sustainable world. His Planet Project seeks to spark that shift on a global scale.
