This week on eTown, we welcome two first-time guests. Singer-songwriter and master storyteller Steve Poltz joins us, alongside Nashville-based singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Rachel Baiman, also making her eTown debut. Plus, we dip into the archives to hear climate scientist Dr. Stephen Schneider in a thoughtful conversation about climate change.

Steve Poltz  joins us with songs that move from laughter to tears. Born in Halifax, raised in Southern California and now Nashville based, he treats every night like the greatest show of his life, and we can say for certain that his eTown appearance was his best show of all time.

Rachel Baiman also joins. She is a Chicago raised songwriter and fiddle player known for sharp political and personal lyricism. Her acclaimed 2023 album Common Nation of Sorrow earned major praise, followed by a prolific year of collaborations that highlight her range, craft and restless creative drive. It was a pleasure to hear her music for the first time at eTown.
