Celebrating 34 years of music, ideas, & community on the radio
The Band of Heathens, Jaime Wyatt and interview guest Aaron Miripol

This week, we revisit a show featuring Band Of Heathens from Austin, Texas. And marking her first visit to the eTown stage is outlaw Country phenom Jaime Wyatt from Nashville, Tennessee. Nick also has a sit-down with Aaron Miripol, President and CEO of the Urban Land Conservancy to discuss the benefits of neighborhood preservation.

For nearly two decades, Austin’s The Band of Heathens have forged their own path, blending country, soul and rock with sharp songwriting. Founded in 2005 and anchored by Ed Jurdi and Gordy Quist, the band reflects on 20 years of independence and growth with their new album Country Side, which appears on February 20, 2026. They share songs from previous works this week.

Jaime Wyatt is a fearless storyteller whose songs turn survival, self-discovery and joy into expansive country music. Across albums such as Felony Blues, Neon Cross and Feel Good, she explores multiple genres while staying rooted in honesty and human connection.

Our interview guest, Aaron Miripol, is president and CEO of Urban Land Conservancy, leading efforts to preserve affordable housing and community spaces while fighting displacement and inequity across Colorado.
