Celebrating 34 years of music, ideas, & community on the radio
Darrell Scott, Jana Mila and interview guest Allison Neswood

What a special eTown we have for you this week. From Nashville comes veteran singer-songwriter, Darrell Scott, whose songs have literally travelled out of this world. And, from the Netherlands comes a newcomer to the Nashville song factory, Jana Mila. Both artists share their unique takes on classics as well as original songs. Also, Nick chats with Allison Neswood about her social justice work with the Native American Rights Fund (NARF).

Darrell Scott is a master craftsman of song and sound, finding beauty and meaning in the small and unguarded moments of life. A Grammy-nominated multi-instrumentalist and revered songwriter, his songs have been recorded by everyone from the Dixie Chicks to Keb’ Mo’ and Garth Brooks. After years touring with Robert Plant and the Zac Brown Band, Darrell now writes, produces and teaches from his Tennessee home, still chasing truth through melody, poetry and love.

Amsterdam-born Jana Mila writes songs that shimmer with introspection and fearless honesty. Her debut album Chameleon explores identity and belonging through an ever-shifting mix of folk, country and rock textures. Discovered by Dutch country icon Ilse DeLange and shaped in Nashville alongside producer Todd Lombardo, Jana’s music is an ongoing conversation with herself: vulnerable and wholly her own.

Allison Neswood is a tireless advocate for Native American voting rights and health equity. As a leading attorney with NARF, she has helped overturn restrictive laws and champion policies expanding access and justice for Indigenous communities nationwide.
