Welcome to eTown this week, where we highlight our spring Artist-in-Residence, M.C. Taylor of Hiss Golden Messenger, who joins the eTones for songs from his latest album, I’m People. Also joining us is Emily Nenni, who shares her take on honkytonk, country and Blues. Also on the broadcast: eTown host Nick Forster talks with Fred Gage and John Schmauch about their efforts to help New York farmers integrate solar energy into their properties.

M.C. Taylor of Hiss Golden Messenger creates folk, country and American roots music exploring the complexities of being human. His latest release, I’m People, continues that exploration with songs about family, aging, heartbreak, community and finding reasons to remain hopeful.

California-born, Nashville-based Emily Nenni joins us with her take on honkytonk and classic country, sharing songs filled with heartache, humor and plenty of personality.

Fred Gage and John Schmauch join Nick to talk about their work with family farms in upstate New York, exploring how solar installations can provide farmers with reliable income while helping preserve agricultural land.
