The city, in partnership with the Boulder Chamber and the Urban Land Institute, is hosting its first Housing Equity Symposium.

This event aims to raise awareness and understanding of Boulder’s history related to race and class, how it impacts the city’s current housing challenges and to begin a community dialogue to identify specific actions to address long-standing inequities.

The event will feature an introduction by Congressman Joe Neguse and local and national speakers.

Keynotes will include: Lisa Bender, President of the Minneapolis City Council, Dr. Abby Hickcox, Associate Director of the Arts & Sciences Honors Program at the University of Colorado and co-founder Boulder Affordable Housing Regional Initiative and Dr. Tiffany Manuel, PhD, President and CEO of TheCaseMade.

Presentations, a panel discussion and an opportunity for questions from the audience are also on the agenda. Tickets are free, but registration is required to attend.
