Carsie Blanton writes anthems for a world worth saving. Inspired by artists including Nina Simone and Randy Newman, her songs encompass a wide range of genres, from sultry pop to punk-tinged Americana.

Here are some reviews on Carsie’s latest album:

Love & Rage is a reminder that the fight for racial and gender equity can — and should — have joyous moments. -NOLA

[Love & Rage is a] masterpiece and one of the best albums this year. – The Honey Pops

Whether alone with her electric guitar or fronting her four-piece “handsome band,” Carsie delivers every song with an equal dose of moxie and mischief, bringing her audience together in joyful celebration of everything worth fighting for.

Over the past dozen years, Blanton has been making music that personifies play. Her work has been called “impeccably catchy” by critic Robert Christgau, with musician John Oates admiring her songs’ “sly wit and urbane imagery” that remind him of Cole Porter.

The opening act for Carsie will be local/singer-songwriter and eTown favorite – Finn O’Sullivan. Incredibly Unfamous award-winning indie pop-folk artist Finn O’Sullivan, described by former Rolling Stone managing editor John Dioso as “the lovechild of Phoebe Bridgers and Taylor Swift,” writes about the universal themes of love and loss with both humor and compassion. O’Sullivan’s chord progressions and turns of phrase are a testament to her musicianship and a true poetic gift. Her lyrics range from old soul to millennial quirky, and her clever, catchy tunes simply get stuck in your head.
