Katie Wise + Bhakti Explosion have appeared at the biggest sacred music festivals in the US and internationally, such as Lovelight (MD), Unify (NM), Arise (CO), Folks Fest (CO), Hanuman Festival (CO), Bhakti Fest (CA), Shakti Fest (CA), Festival of Colors (UT), Stonehenge Music Festival (UK), and Holistic Manchester (UK). Bhakti Explosion currently includes band members: Yoshi Aono on guitar, John Hoelle on electric bass, JJ Jones on percussion, and lead vocalist Katie on guitar and keyboards. To capture the magic of their live events, they released two live albums: Live at the Starhouse (2019), and Live at ETown (2021) from their electrified sold out show at Etown Hall. Their second studio album lands April 14, 2023, and production has begun on a third studio album. The band continues to look for ways to serve the greater community through music, through livestreams during the pandemic, and benefit concerts like #BoulderStrong, Yoga Gives Back for India, and StopBatten.org concert, where thousands of dollars were raised for the families of Boulder shooting victims families, better gun policy, Covid relief, and efforts to eradicate the rare children's disease Batten. David Newman calls Katie a "a solid force and presence for those who look to their music for peace, heart, groove, and spiritual inspiration.” Australian Yoga life writes “Wise’s soulful, earthy voice embodies vulnerability in a way that turns emotion into art.” Katie Wise + Bhakti Explosion are America's pioneers of mantra-rock music. Seán Johnson & The Wild Lotus Band

About Seán Johnson & The Wild Lotus Band: ”The music of Seán Johnson & The Wild Lotus Band flows from the mystical confluence of the Ganges River and the Mississippi Delta—the deep bhakti tradition of Indian devotional chanting fused with the polyglot cultural cross-currents that so enrich the music of the group’s hometown of New Orleans, Louisiana. The much-beloved band evoke, conjure and celebrate that universally felt yet impossible-to-define essence that lies at the heart of all things, what Bob Marley once called 'a natural mystic, flowing through the air.' The result is music of majestic musical and emotional range—a heart journey from darkness to light, wrought from the homespun cloth of gospel, blues, soul, country, rock, Celtic folk and other vernacular musical influences, all filtered through the magical Afro-Caribbean-inflected rhythmic flair of the Crescent City.” – Alan di Perna (Rolling Stone, Creem, Billboard) "A joy to listen to for anyone who appreciates wildly creative music." - Yoga Journal "A hybrid of East and West that will bring joy to your heart and get your body boogieing. - Yoga Chicago Celebrate the spirit of unity with a night of interactive, soul-stirring music from Seán Johnson & The Wild Lotus Band. Experience heart-expanding ancient mantras and global chants given new voice through dynamic songs that merge conscious lyrics and New Orleans roots, rock, gospel, and world grooves. The band's acclaimed latest album 'Mystery,' was named one of the best albums of the year in Louisiana music by Offbeat Magazine. Their previous album Unity, dedicated to celebrating the threads between the world's spiritual traditions, debuted #1 on the iTunes World Music Chart and #3 on Billboard. They are a featured artist on Putumayo World Music, and are the first mantra-based band to ever play the New Orleans Jazz Festival. Recent remix collaborations include DJ Drez, Ben Leinbach, Starita & Sri Kala. The band includes Seán (vocals and harmonium); Alvin Young (6 string fretless bass & guitar); Gwendolyn Colman (percussion & vocals), Narada Wise (drums), and Chris Rosser (keys, electric oud, dotar, bass, guitar) Learn more at www.SeanJohnsonAndTheWildLotusBand.com
