Joseph Arthur

Joseph Arthur, whose music escapes any format, will be back soon with a new album. Discovered by Peter Gabriel and Lou Reed almost 30 years ago, the American songwriter and painter still fascinates with his insatiable creativity and consistency in excellence. He often draws and paints on stage, while constantly singing over percussive loops and interweaving of guitars and vocals, a prolific and uncompromising artist, he never stops composing and painting, experiments a lot, follows his desires and fantasies, disconcerts and surprises. A complete artist, outside the norm, he creates, because he doesn’t have another choice and it’s lucky for us that he does!

Grady Hoss

LOCAL MOTIVE is the new full length record from Grady Hoss and the Sidewinders following their debut EP "Over & Out" (2016). The album features new songs along with resurrected countrified songs from years gone by. On this record GRADY finds that fine line of perfectly blending the old sound of country music and making it new and modern in its production. The title LOCAL MOTIVE represents the self motivation it took to end a chapter of his life back east to then move across country to the southwest of Arizona and start over during the 2020 pandemic. There’s also an obvious play on words with a LOCOMOTIVE which is synonymous with country music and the blues, symbolizing the power of a train chugging along through the countryside eventually arriving to its destination. The album opens with a phone message from his cousin David from North Carolina asking him to come through carolina with his guitar and they'll sit down and "pick and grin"...right into the opening track DEVIL'S HIGHWAY(featuring Jesse Daniel's Guitar player David Knodle) which is a highway song about getting out of the city for the weekend and heading out to the country ...but one of the only main roads leading out of the city is Route 76, in PA which is ALWAYS a nightmare congested with traffic. In the song “All Niter” GRADY reaches into his pocket for a more modern country sound with this rocker about the last time he partied with friends until the sun came up which simultaneously made him realize he’s getting older and having a hard time hang’n with the young kids. “Pour another drink I guess/there’s something that I must confess/I can’t remember when was the last All Nighter?/For this ol’ boy it’s been a while/I’m 45 and in denial/I’m feel’n young but man I feel like dyin”. The song features Nashville’s own tongue n cheek country duo Rylan Brooks on the 2nd verse and gang vocals. One of the highlights of the album is track 7 called “The Fall”…a beautifully written country ballad featuring HANNAH BLAYLOCK (Eden’s Edge) on vocals. Hoss channels John Denver’s Colorado imagery on this one about a couple taking a trip to the Rocky Mountains in hopes of reigniting the long gone fire in their relationship…but even camping in the beautiful Rocky Mountains of Colorado couldn’t help them. “Even Colorado couldn’t help us/a campfire couldn’t keep us warm at all/ the Beauty of the Rockies and the pines up above/Didn’t have any affect on us at all…I think it’s time we start heading for The Fall” LOCAL MOTIVE will be be released JULY 30, 2023 on all download and streaming services. Hard copies of the album will be available on his website and at the shows.
