*** UPDATE IN REGARDS TO TONIGHTS SHOW***
Unfortunately, due to the 'bomb cyclone/blizzard' that we experienced yesterday Penny & Sparrow were not able to make it to Colorado for our Live eTown Radio Show Taping tonight. The Mountain Goats were able to make it and the show will continue with the Mountain Goats as the headliner.
We greatly wish that Penny & Sparrow were able to make it and we apologize for any inconvenience. Luckily we have a deep bench when it comes to talented musicians here in Colorado and Denver-based singer/songwriter Joe Sampson will be filling in for Penny & Sparrow. We've been a fan of Joe's for a quite some time and couldn't be happier to have him join us on this show.
Please don't hesitate to reach out at (303)-443-8696 if you have any questions.
More than just a regular concert, eTown is a unique live experience! Audience members will watch the eTown Broadcast recorded before their eyes, complete with performances and interviews with both of our visiting artists, as well as the eChievement Award segment, eTown's opportunity to honor everyday heroes who are doing their part to make the world a better place.

The Mountain Goats
The Mountain Goats are John Darnielle, Peter Hughes, Jon Wurster, and Matt Douglas. They have been making music together as a quartet for several years. Three of them live in North Carolina and one has moved back to Rochester. Their songs often seek out dark lairs within which terrible monsters dwell, but their mission is to retrieve the treasure from the dark lair and persuade the terrible monsters inside to seek out the path of redemption. As Axl Rose once memorably asked, in the song “Terrible Monster”: “What’s so terrible about monsters, anyway?” This is the question the Mountain Goats have been doggedly pursuing since 1991. They will never leave off this quest until every option has been exhausted. Thank you.
Joe Sampson is the champion of the musical understatement, each song exuding a gently mesmerizing beauty. His music evokes the comfortably sad acoustic tones of Nick Drake or Leonard Cohen, ornamented with often darkly humorous lyrics, intoned in a soft yet road-worn baritone. Sampson’s intimate, emotive songs draw you in, gradually weaving their subtle magic.
