We’re excited to begin this new chapter — one that celebrates spontaneous creativity and marks the start of an ongoing series of residencies we’ll be sharing throughout 2026.

Matt Butler is eTown’s first artist-in-residence
This November, eTown Hall launches its first official Artist-in-Residence program, welcoming conductor Matt Butler of Everyone Orchestra. Unlike traditional residencies built around a single artist’s catalog, Everyone Orchestra thrives on the unexpected: music created in real time, with no setlist and no safety net.
Across several days, Matt will turn eTown Hall into a living lab for listening, risk-taking and shared creation.
The residency takes place over several days and includes:
November 2: Matt will join eTown host Nick Forster on stage for an eTown taping, sharing his story and leading the show’s collaborative finale.

November 3-5: Matt will be leading community workshops and masterclasses, providing hands-on opportunities for students and community members to explore improvisation and collaboration.
November 4: Everyone Orchestra performs live at eTown Hall, in what promises to be an electrifying one-night performance where guest musicians help shape the music in the moment, all led by Matt.
