Jane Goodall, who passed on October 1, 2025, was a frequent and treasured guest at eTown. Over the years, she joined us on stage to share her insights, her discoveries and her deep compassion for the natural world.
Each time she came, she left an indelible impression on our audience and on all of us who had the privilege of welcoming her.
Jane’s life was devoted to understanding and protecting chimpanzees, but her influence reached far beyond the forests of Gombe. She showed us how science and empathy can work hand in hand, and how small acts of care can ripple outward into lasting change.
Her voice was calm yet urgent, filled with the wisdom of someone who had seen both the fragility and the resilience of life.
