Allison Moorer first captured significant attention with her song ‘A Soft Place To Fall’ in the 1998 film ‘The Horse Whisperer.’ Moorer appeared in the film as well and the song garnered an Academy Award nomination for Best Original Song. Moorer has been featured on releases by Joan Baez, Kid Rock, The Chieftains and Los Straightjackets’ and has continued to appear in films and plays. Her new release ‘Crows,’ out on Ryko Records, has been praised by Billboard as a “sophisticated pop-flavored outing marked by intricate arrangements and delicate dynamics.”
