MAIA SHARP is an extraordinary and impressive talent making her e·town debut. Strong musical influences have surrounded Maia Sharp all her life. Her father wrote hits for Crystal Gayle, Emmylou Harris, Patty Loveless, Dolly Parton and Linda Ronstadt. By age 11, she was learning piano, oboe, guitar, and saxophone and listening to Joni Mitchell, Jackson Browne, Phoebe Snow and Paul Simon. She has written with Carole King, Art Garfunkel and Stewart Copeland and been recorded by Cher. Her debut CD, Hardly Glamour (ARK 21) was released in 1997 to great reviews and an A3 Artist of the Year Nomination from Gavin.
