As many of you know, before we built our new, solor-powered home, eTown Hall, we taped the show at the historic Boulder Theatre here in our hometown of Boulder Colorado. However for this special throwback we revisit a show where we traveled a short distance down the road from the Boulder Theatre to the University of Colorado’s Glenn Miller Ballroom. Nick & Helen Forster welcomed two musical groups who at the time we’re just beginning to make waves in the music scene.
Mumford & Sons brought their unique sound all the way from London, England. The young and spirited quartet shared their earnest and high energy folk-rock sound. Mumford & Sons had only been together for 3 years but after listening to them it’s easy to understand why they continue to sell out venue after venue on their worldwide tours. Also taking the eTown stage was fellow Coloradan Danielle Ate the Sandwich (that’s Danielle Anderson and her band), who has built an impressive internet fan-base in a relatively short amount of time with her great singing and quirky, charming original tunes. Nick & Helen and the eTones join Danielle with musical and vocal support.
Plus Nick sat down for a chat with eChievement Award winner Norman Cetuk of Centenary College & Drew University to learn about his yearly trips down to New Orleans to provide assistance to those that had been affected by Hurrican Katrina. It’s eTown at it’s finest!
