Last week on eTown, Americana-rock band Goodnight, Texas joined us with songs shaped by the distance between San Francisco and Chapel Hill, where founders Patrick Dyer Wolf and Avi Vinocur first began writing together. We also heard from Jerron Paxton and Dennis Lichtman, the Queens-based multi-instrumentalists carrying forward the sounds of early jazz, Blues and old-time music with deep knowledge and lively spirit. eTown host Nick Forster also sat down with Nicole Watson to talk about her nonprofit Econic Earth, which provides solar lights to families across Africa.
