Thanksgiving week has us thinking about the good work happening close to home and far beyond it. Since 2024, eTown has partnered with Conscious Alliance, a Colorado-based national nonprofit that feeds communities in need through creative collaborations with musicians, festivals, brands and volunteers.
Conscious Alliance continues to nourish families with heart and purpose, and we’ve been grateful to play a small part in that effort. Recently, eTown staff gathered at their headquarters in Broomfield, Colorado, to help prepare a food delivery bound for Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota.
Pine Ridge Reservation is home to the Oglala Lakota Nation, a community with a deep cultural legacy and a long history of resilience in the face of hardship. It also remains one of the most food-insecure regions in the country, where access to fresh, reliable groceries is limited and families often travel long distances for basic needs.

Conscious Alliance partners directly with local leaders to deliver meals, stock community kitchens and support families in ways that honor culture and dignity. It was a highlight of our year to help them see another delivery through.
PACKING UP IN BROOMFIELD
Before the holiday season, we joined other volunteers at Conscious Alliance headquarters in Broomfield, Colorado, to help prepare meal boxes for families located in the Pine Ridge Reservation ahead of the holiday season. It was a small part of the big work they do every day, especially now, as many households were feeling the strain from reduced SNAP benefits and rising food costs.
We were grateful to lend our hands and stand with an organization doing real, daily good in our communities. It was a lot of fun in addition to helping play a part.
AT PINE RIDGE RESERVATION
A few weeks later, members of eTown travelled to the Pine Ridge Reservation to help deliver those meals and spend time with community partners.
Every visit is a reminder of the relationships and trust built over many years, and we’re deeply thankful to play a role in this effort.
We’re grateful for Conscious Alliance and the work they put into supporting families and communities in need.
