In this honor having the Wood Brothers on our current show this week, we’re going to throw it back to the last time that they made a trip to eTown back in August of 2012! Native sons of Boulder, Colorado, The Wood Brothers made another stop in eTown (1st visit was in 2006), to christen the new stage at eTown Hall with their soulful fusion of folk, blues, jazz and classic R&B music.
Although Chris and Oliver have an undeniable musical chemistry, it took them many years to recognize and acknowledge it. Now with more than 10 years and six full-length albums under their belts as The Wood Brothers proper, it’s obvious they have found a one-of-a-kind sound that only siblings can create.
Also featured on this show is singer/songwriter Gretchen Peters, an artist that has risen to the top of her craft by writing and recording songs that explore the deep corners of life with empathy and integrity. Odds are, you’ve heard her music interpreted by the likes of Martina McBride, Pam Tillis, Neil Diamond, Trisha Yearwood, Patty Loveless, George Strait, Bryan Adams, Bonnie Raitt, Etta James and countless others. Based out of Nashville, Peters made her first stop in eTown on the heels of her newest recording at the time, Hello Cruel World.
